On Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s directions, a proposal of Rs 132 crore approved for water augmentation schemes

The approved amount will be used to improve water structures, water quality and distribution system.

The scheme additionally aims to improve public health and standard of living

Raipur. 24 September 2024// On the directions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, a fund of around Rs 132 crore has been approved by the Finance Department for water augmentation schemes of the Public Health Engineering Department in various urban bodies.

On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the water augmentation schemes to be constructed by the Public Health Engineering Department will strengthen the water supply system in urban bodies. This will ensure potable water for the citizens.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Finance Department has approved Rs 14.66 crore for Bhatgaon in Balodabazar district, Rs 47.46 crore for Sarangarh, Rs 17.86 crore for Champa in Janjgir-Champa district and Rs 3.61 crore for Saragaon, Rs 19.75 crore for Charama in Kanker district, Rs 24.63 crore for Katghora in Korba district and Rs 4.35 crore for Bijapur on the schemes proposed for water augmentation by the Public Health Engineering Department.

The water augmentation schemes will strengthen the water connectivity, improve the quality and distribution of water supply and also help in reducing the water crisis. Along with this, the health and standard of living of the citizens will also improve.

As per official, these new water augmentation schemes will ensure the availability of water resources. Along with this, they will also prove to be very important for local development and the health of the citizens.
