Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in charge of Kanker district Shri Sao reviewed progress of implementation of schemes and development works

Instructed the officers to perform their responsibilities efficiently, in collaboration and stipulated time

Raipur, 23 September 2024// Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in charge of Kanker district Shri Arun Sao reviewed the progress of implementation of government schemes and development works by holding a meeting of officials at Kanker district headquarters.

Addressing the officials in meeting, he said, “Kanker district is rich in resources and ensuring systematic development is a shared responsibility for everyone. Whether you are a public representative or an administrative officer, the goal should be to maximize the benefits of government schemes for citizens. By showcasing your skills, fostering teamwork and adhering to timelines one can set a strong example through exemplary conduct and work ethic.”

Kanker MP Shri Bhojraj Nag, Antagarh MLA Shri Vikram Usendi and Kanker MLA Shri Asharam Netam also attended the review meeting.

Considering the moral duty to serve people, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao emphasised to discharge the duties to serve the people and live up to their expectations. “Ensure that every person gets pure drinking water under Jal Jeevan Mission. Under Public Works Department completion of roads and bridges should be done with utmost quality of construction,” said Sao. While reviewing the Revenue Department, Shri Sao said that the revenue officers must give time to regularly settle the judicial cases. For this, adopt a positive work style and discharge the departmental responsibilities in a timely manner. Make every possible effort to live up to the aspirations of the people, so that farmers do not have to wander.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao directed the officials of the Health Department conduct intensive monitoring to keep tab on the ground reality of the timely availability of health services, facilities, doctors and essential medicines. He asked the officials of the Urban Administration Department to take stock of the urban bodies to know the ground situation of the currently running ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ fortnight. He asked the officials of all departments to make every effort to transform Kanker district, abundant in natural resources, into a leader in development and enhance facilities for the local population.

In the review meeting, Kanker Collector Mr Nilesh Mahadev Kshirsagar provided information about the schemes and activities run by other departments including Panchayat and Rural Development, Public Works, Public Health Engineering, Health, School Education, Tribal Development Department, Social Welfare, Water Resources, Women and Child Development, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry Development, Fisheries and Food Department on agenda. Kanker District Panchayat Chairman Mr Hemant Dhruv, former MP Mr Mohan Mandavi, Superintendent of Police Mr Indira Kalyan Elesela, District Panchayat CEO Mr Sumit Agarwal and DFO Mr Alok Vajpayee including district level officers of all departments were present in the review meeting.
