Raipur division emerged as the overall champion by delivering an outstanding performance

24th State Level School Sports Competition Concludes

Raipur, 22 September 2024/ The 24th State Level School Sports Competition-2024 concluded on Sunday at Raigarh Stadium in Boirdadar. Lok Sabha MP Shri Radheshyam Rathiya was the Chief Guest in the closing ceremony, where school children performed a colourful cultural programme and march past.

Lok Sabha MP Shri Radheshyam Rathiya said, “It is a matter of joy that a state-level sports competition was organized in Raigarh and all students got an opportunity to participate in sports event. Winning and losing is a part of the game and the losing team should not be disappointed and strive hard to make a comeback for victory.”

He encouraged students to pay special attention to studies along with sports and bring laurel to Chhattisgarh. Shri Rathia said that efforts will be made to make Raigarh a zone, so that the players of the region can get an opportunity along with increasing facilities.

On this occasion, District Panchayat President Shri Niraakar, local public representatives, a large number of players from different divisions were present.

Raipur division emerged as overall champion

Raipur division performed brilliantly in the state level school sports competition 2024 and became the overall champion. Hence, Raipur division secured first place in volleyball game of girls under 19 category while Bastar division and Durg division stood second and third second respectively.

In the category of under 19 game of boys, Raipur division stood first- Durg division second and Bilaspur division stood third. In Kho-Kho under 17 girls category- Durg division stood first, Bastar second and Bilaspur division third. Similarly, in the under 17 boys category- Bastar division stood first, Durg division second and Bilaspur division third.

In Kho-Kho under 19 girls category- Bastar, Durg and Bilsapur secured first, second and third positions respectively.

In Kho-Kho under 19 boys category- Bastar division stood first, Durg division second and Raipur division third. In table tennis under 14 years category- Raipur division stood first, Bilaspur division second and Bastar division third. Similarly, in table tennis under 14 boys category- Raipur division stood first, Bilaspur division second and Durg division third. In table tennis under 17 years girls category – Durg division stood first, Bilaspur division second and Raipur division third. Similarly, in table tennis under 17 years category- Raipur division stood first, Bilaspur division second and Durg division third.
