Raipur, 09 September 2024// On the directions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, who is concerned over children’s health and intake of balanced nutrition, Poshan Maah Abhiyan- Nurition Month Campaign is being organized across the Anganwadi centers of the state.
Nutrition Month Campaign is also being run in about 4315 Anganwadi centers of Jashpur district, where parents are being informed of nutritious diet through various activities.
Children are being weighed at Anganwadi centers and parents are advised to include green vegetables in their diet for better nutrition. Additionally, children’s intellectual development is being promoted through participation in various activities.
It is noteworthy that the Poshan Abhiyan Yojana has been operational in state since September 1st till September 30th under the Saksham Anganwadi and Nutrition 2.0 initiative. This is an annual activity organsied as a mass movement for widespread publicity and to bring an effective behavior change related to health, nutrition and hygiene among the public.
As per the instructions of the Government of India, Women and Child Development, this year also Poshan Maah is being organized from 01 September 2024 to 30 September 2024.
