Chief Minister Shri Sai Plants a sapling of Peepal Tree in Honour of His Mother
Agriculture Minister, Finance Minister, MP, School Children, and Officials Participated in the Plantation Drive held at Punji Pathra Police Station
Raipur, 8 September 2024/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today participated in a plantation drive held at Punji Pathra Police Station premises under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. In a gesture of respect towards motherhood, Chief Minister Shri Sai planted a Peepal sapling. By planting the sapling, the Chief Minister conveyed a strong message about the importance of environmental conservation. The initiative aims to honor motherhood while also promoting environmental protection.
During the tree plantation event for the ‘Matrichhaya Upvan’ at the Punji Pathra Police Station premises, Agriculture and In-Charge Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam planted a Peepal sapling, Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary also planted a Peepal sapling, while Rajya Sabha MP Shri Devendra Pratap Singh and MP Shri Radhe Shyam Rathia planted sandalwood saplings. Chief Conservator of Forests Shri Prabhat Mishra, Bilaspur Division Commissioner Shri Mahadev Kawre, Inspector General Shri Sanjeev Shukla, Collector Shri Kartikeya Goel, Superintendent of Police Shri Dibyang Patel, along with local public representatives and school children, planted over 800 saplings in the ‘Matrichhaya Upvan’.
‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign is being conducted across the state, encouraging every citizen to plant a sapling in honour of their mother.
