Raipur, 3 September 2024. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai extended his heartfelt congratulations to the valiant soldiers of the DRG and CRPF following the successful operation in the border area of Dantewada and Bijapur districts, where nine Naxalites were neutralised by police forces. The Chief Minister hailed this as a major victory for the security forces, expressing deep admiration for the bravery of all officers and jawans involved. He reaffirmed the state government’s unwavering commitment to eradicating naxalism in its entirety. According to reports, nine Naxalites have been killed in an encounter with a joint police team, while security forces in Bijapur district have also apprehended 13 active Naxalites. This development follows the recent visit of Union Minister of Home Affairs Shri Amit Shah to Chhattisgarh, where he convened a meeting with senior officials from 6 states and issued clear directives for decisive action against naxalism.
