Governor held a meeting to track progress and implementation of schemes with officials in Bilaspur district
Raipur,31 August 2024// Chhattisgarh Governor Shri Ramen Deka held a meeting with the officials of Bilaspur district to evaluate progress of development and other activities during his stay in Bilaspur district.
Governor said that the general public should get 100% benefit of the flagship schemes of the government. Governor Shri Deka directed to implement necessary measures for water conservation and water harvesting, plantation and environmental promotion, traditional and organic farming promotion, TB eradication etc.
Shri Deka obtained information regarding the tree plantation being run on the theme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’. Governor Shri Deka took information from the Agriculture Department official on topics including traditional agriculture and organic farming promotion, crop insurance etc. He asked the concerned officials to encourage progressive farmers of Bilaspur district to adopt innovative farming methods which may also revive soil quality. He emphasized that farmers should be made aware of crop insurance, so that they can get 100% benefit of the insurance scheme.
The Governor inquired about the efforts and progress made for TB elimination in the district. He asked for better monitoring for TB elimination and to make people aware about it. During meeting he also inquired about Red Cross Society. He said that youth is getting affected a lot due to drug peddling, for this all necessary measures should be taken and effective measures should be ensured for prevention of substance abuse.
Governor talked about making special efforts to connect the people living in the tribal area with the mainstream of the society and to provide other basic services including health, education. He also asked to increase cooperative activity in tribal areas, so that Tribal people living in the region can be empowered and connected to the mainstream. Along with this, he encouraged all the officers to discharge their departmental responsibilities with full devotion and to work with better innovation. Officers of Bilaspur District Administration, Command Officer of NCC and district level officers of all departments were present in the meeting.
