Chief Justice, Ramesh Sinha, hoisted the national flag at the Chhattisgarh High Court on 78th Independence Day

Chhattisgarh High Court celebrated the 78th Independence Day in Bilaspur. The Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, Shri Ramesh Sinha, hoisted the national flag. He also paid floral tributes to the statues of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the Father of the Constitution. The atmosphere was filled with patriotism as the national anthem played and chants of “Bharat Mata ki Jai” echoed throughout the event.

Chief Justice Shri Sinha extended Independence Day greetings to the attendees. The highlight of the celebration was the police and NCC parade, with Chief Justice Sinha taking the salute and later presenting mementoes to the parade commanders. He also honoured various participating units, including the Second BN Security Company at the High Court premises, the 12th Battalion (Armed Force) at the High Court Residential Complex, NCC Senior Divisions (Girls and Boys) from D.P. Vipra College and J.P. Verma College, Bilaspur, NSS (Girls and Boys) from Atal Bihari Vajpayee University, Bilaspur, and parade coordinator Shri D.S. Bais, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Chief Security Officer at the High Court, Bilaspur.

Additionally, Chief Justice Sinha visited the Advocate BAR and the State Legal Services Authority, Bilaspur (SALSA), located in the old High Court building. The Judges of the Chhattisgarh High Court, the Registrar General, the Advocate General, other officials, members of the BAR Association of the High Court and District Court, registry officers and staff, as well as judicial officers of the Bilaspur District Court, were present. The event saw enthusiastic participation from residents of nearby villages and schoolchildren.
