District-level group yoga practice session was held at Bhima Talab, Jajvalyadev Dwar

Raipur, 21 June 2024/ A district-level group yoga practice session was held near Bhima Talab, Jajvalyadev Dwar at Janjgir district headquarters today to commemorate the 10th International Yoga Day. Finance Minister and district in-charge minister Shri OP Choudhary graced the event as the chief guest, inaugurating the programme organized by the district administration. He commenced the proceedings by garlanding the oil painting of Saraswati Mata and lighting a lamp.

Minister Shri Choudhary extended congratulations and best wishes on International Yoga Day, stating “Coming to Janjgir feels like coming to my second home. Let us pledge to integrate yoga into our daily lives and practice it regularly. In the culture and tradition of India, everyone should embrace the ideology of “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” and progress together. Therefore, not only India but every country has adopted International Yoga Day. On International Yoga Day, let us pledge to make yoga a part of our lifestyle and contribute to building a healthy and prosperous India. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has brought this invaluable heritage of India to the world, and today, yoga has become the identity of India globally. Through yoga, we can maintain both physical and mental health.”

Collector Shri Akash Chhikara, delivering the welcome address on Yoga Day, stressed the importance of daily yoga practice for maintaining a healthy body throughout life. During the event, Mallakhamb players from Kutrabod village panchayat of Pamgarh development block showcased their skills, captivating everyone present.
