Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao Takes Part in Yoga Practice Event held at CSEB Ground in Korba

Over 10,000 Sanitation Workers and Health Workers Joined the Session Online

Raipur, 21 June 2024/ On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao participated in the tenth yoga demonstration event held at the CSEB ground in Korba district. Katghora MLA Premchand Patel also attended the event.

Chief Guest Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao said in his address to the program that Korba, known as the Power City of Chhattisgarh, hosted the yoga practice session organized by the Urban Administration Department under the theme of “Clean Mind, Clean City.” Over 10,000 sanitation workers, Swachhta Didis sanitation commandos, and health workers joined the session online.

Shri Sao highlighted that positive energy generated from the mass practice of yoga in Korba is being channeled throughout the state. He emphasized the importance of yoga in daily life and appealed to people to dedicate one hour each day for their physical well-being. He reiterated the saying, “A healthy mind resides in a healthy body,” underlining the necessity of maintaining physical health.

During the event, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao, special guest MLA Shri Patel, Mayor Shri Rajkishore Prasad, District Panchayat President Mrs. Shashikala Kanwar, District President Dr. Rajeev Singh, former Mayor Shri Jagesh Lamba, Municipal Corporation Leader of Opposition Shri Hitanand Agrawal, BJP District In-Charge Shri Gopal Sahu, Councilor Shri Narendra Devangan, Urban Administration Department Secretary Shri Basav Raju S., Collector Shri Ajit Vasant, Municipal Commissioner Shri Pratishtha Mamgain, along with other officials, employees, and distinguished citizens of the town, practiced various yoga postures under the guidance of ‘Heartfulness’ yoga instructors.

Post yoga practice, sanitation workers, ‘Swachhta Didi’, ‘Swachhta Commandos’, and yoga trainers were honoured with certificates of appreciation.
