From the outset, NTPC Korba’s goal was clear: to empower girls to realize their full potential, to instill in them the confidence to chase their dreams, and to equip them with the skills necessary to navigate the complexities of life. Over the past one month, we have seen incredible transformations. We have witnessed young girls stepping out of their comfort zones, embracing challenges, and emerging as leaders in their way.

The GEM girls also presented an Art Gallery presenting their creative talents on a dais for the spectators.

Young talented girls in one of their performances gave an important message of promoting unity in diversity, yoga, self-defence, women empowerment & preserving our environment.

During this one month workshop, each day commenced with yoga, refreshing both body and mind, followed by nourishing meals. Comprehensive classes covering English and Hindi grammar, computer literacy, mathematics, science, life skills, dance, Karalipyattu, self-defence, and various co-curricular activities are conducted daily. Along with these classes every day a special session was organized wherein our girls got the opportunity to interact with the experts of different professions and understand various professions in a better way. The girls interacted with the Smt. Neha Verma, Additional SP and Shri P. Chaudhary, Colonel (Indian Army). The girls also visited the Kosa silk cultivation & weaving center at Churi, Hi-Tech Nursery at Pali on World Environment Day and the CISF Unit of NTPC Korba where they also got the opportunity to gain experience to cease fire and other safety measures.
GEM is a flagship CSR mission of NTPC which is adding colors to the lives of thousands of girls annually, thus empowering girls and societies. The initiative marks another significant stride towards fostering educational empowerment and gender equality within the community.
