Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the consecration ceremony of the Bhakt Mata Karma Temple in Farhada village, Mungeli district, on Friday. In his address, he announced that rail connectivity for Mungeli district would be established soon. He shared that the state government has already approved Rs 300 crore for the Katghora-Dongargarh Special Rail Project, with the land acquisition process set to begin shortly. This project will include a 38.02-kilometre rail line passing through the Mungeli district, providing future rail services to the region’s residents.

Chief Minister Shri Sai announced the construction of a community hall worth Rs 25 lakh for the Sahu community in Farhada village. Additionally, he announced the construction of community halls worth Rs 6 lakh each for the tribal and Satnami communities. He inaugurated and laid the foundation for 19 development works worth over Rs 25 crore. He announced plans to upgrade Farhada’s government high school to a higher secondary school. He also announced the renovation of roads from Farhada to Achanakpur and Harirarpur to Tedhadhora.

Chief Minister Shri Sai congratulated the Sahu community on the consecration of Bhakt Mata Karma temple. He highlighted that the construction of this temple in Farhada village is a collective effort by all the villagers, achieved without government assistance, showcasing their unity. He expressed gratitude to the resident for electing Shri Tokhan Sahu as MP from the Bilaspur Lok Sabha constituency. Shri Tokhan Sahu has been appointed as Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs in Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s cabinet, a proud moment for the entire state and region.

Chief Minister Shri Sai announced that the state government is committed to the state’s overall development. The state government is paying Rs. 3100 per quintal for paddy to the farmers and providing benefits of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana to 70 lakh women in the state. He shared that the state government has approved the construction of a 5.5-kilometre road from Bilaspur-Mungeli to Farhada village, which will commence soon. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao emphasised that the state government is committed to the overall development of the state and working effectively across various sectors, including water, electricity, and housing.

Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various development work which includes the inauguration of 3/11 kV sub-station constructed worth Rs 1.89 crore in Khamhariya gram panchayat, 33/11 kV sub-station constructed worth Rs 1.87 crore in Kanteli village, CC lining and structure renovation works worth Rs 19.12 crore on 15 minor canals, LED street light established on 6 km road from Nawagarh Chowk to Khairwar Bypass Road worth Rs 1.37 crore, LED street established on Devri to Khedha Colony road worth Rs 34.35 lakh and laid foundation stone for the construction of rooms worth Rs 7.63 lakh each in Government High Schools of Fulwari F., Jota, Bhatgaon and Higher Secondary Schools of Khudiya, Baigakapa, Sukli, Devarhat, Manoharpur, Nagar Palika Mungeli, Padampur, Jarhagaon, Siltara, Loda and Baitalpur
