Smt. Kiran Singh, President, Sanyukta Mahila Samiti along with senior members, Smt. Sunitha Jaikumar, Smt. Meenakshi Srivastava, Smt. Chandana Kumari and General Secretary Smt. Anupama Srivastav on 11 June 2024 visited NTPC Korba and interacted with the GEM participants. The convoy was accompanied by Smt. C. Padmaja, President, Arpita Mahila Samiti and Smt. Roli Khanna, President, Maitri Mahila Samiti.
The participants shared their experience of the summer workshop and showcased their talent through an exhibition which the visiting dignitaries well appreciated.
During the interaction session, Smt. Kiran Singh encouraged the students to savour this opportunity and actively participate in their academic and extracurricular training. She encouraged and guided the girls to a healthy life and to have a culture of good thoughts and mindset.
The dignitaries also witnessed the cultural performances by the GEM Girls wherein they recited poems and performed a Nukkad Natak.
During the cultural performances Shri Rajeev Khanna, CGM (Korba), Shri Arnab Maitra, GM (O&M), Shri Somnath Bhattacharya, GM (Maintenance), Shri M.V. Sathe, GM (Ash Dyke Management), Shri Shashi Shekhar, AGM (HR), senior members of Maitri Mahila Samiti and other senior officials were present along with all the 126 GEM Girls were present on the occasion.
