Parvatham Yodha wins first prize in national Kathak dance competition

Recently, from 21 to 23 May, All India Cultural Association Pune, official partner UNESCO France Paris, organized national level singing, playing and dancing competitions in which 4500 participants from all over India displayed their art. Internationally renowned tabla player and dance guru Pandit Mordhwaj Vaishnav and DPS Balco Nagar’s class 3 student Parvatham Yodha gave a very special performance in the sub junior category and won the first prize, bringing laurels to Balco Nagar Korba and Chhattisgarh at the national level. She was awarded the first prize in front of a packed audience at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Bhavan Pune.

Also, under the guidance of Western Dance Master Durgesh Das Mahant, she also gave a brilliant performance in Western Dance and won the second prize. Even before this, she has made Korba proud by winning first prize in national level Kathak and Western competitions. Her talent In view of this, she has received invitations for both Kathak and Western for the upcoming International Cultural Olympiad Abu Dhabi Dubai to be held in November and we hope that she will give her best performance there too and bring laurels to Korba and Chhattisgarh. Her father Mr. Parvatham Satish Kumar is employed in Balco Company. All the musicians, teachers and fans of Korba city are congratulating and wishing her for this achievement.
