Global Management Challenge (GMC) is the world’s largest strategy and management competition for university students and young managers. 30,000 participants from more than 35 countries around the world take part in the competition every year. It consists of an interactive Business Simulation in which each management team manages a company, just like real life, in a virtual environment with the aim of obtaining the best investment performance for their company in the market in which it operates.
The GMC India National Final – 2023 edition was conducted on 27th April, 2024, through the Online Mode.
The Team VINDHYA JUGGERNAUTS from NTPC Vindhyachal secured the 2nd Rank while the TEAM GMC23 from NTPC Solapur secured the 3rd Rank respectively in the National Final.
The Team VINDHYA JUGGERNAUTS from NTPC Vindhyachal comprised of Shri DINESH PRABHU R, Senior Manager (Elect Maint), Shri C. Victor Ramphal, Senior Manager (Mech Maint- Boiler), Shri Saurabh Kushwaha, Senior Manager (Elect Maint), and Shri B Ramasethu, Sr. Astt. Engineer (Inspection).
The Team GMC 23 from NTPC Solapur comprised of Shri Eshwarlal, Senior Manager (Ash Handling), Shri Ramkrishnashish Bhattacharjee, Senior Manager (Ash Handling), Shri Kattubava Mohideen K P, Senior Manager (Ash Handling), and Shri Ravi Kumar Nellore, Senior Manager (MTP).
The 2nd Rank Team is eligible for a Cash Prize worth Rs. 75,000/- while the 3rd Rank Team is eligible for a Cash Prize worth Rs. 50,000/- from the GMC India Organizers.
The 2023 edition of Global Management Challenge in India saw the participation of a total of 1284 nos. Teams across India.
The performance of NTPC Teams in GMC India National Finals – 2023 edition bears the testimony of NTPC’s people practices which not only build the capability of its employees but also provide platform to the employees for showcasing their skills and win laurels for the company.
