People of Puvarti village, Hidma’s native, visited the ‘temple of democracy’ with Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

People from Puvarti and Tekalgudem villages are on a 2-day tour of Raipur

“We will ensure the overall development of your village through the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ Yojana”: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur, 28 February 2024// People of Hidma’s village Puvarti, who had long been silenced under the shadow of Naxal guns, have now, for the first time, heard the echo of the people’s voice in the state assembly through their representatives, resonating in the temple of democracy. People from Tekalgudem village in Sukma district also visited the legislative assembly. They witnessed how, despite consensus and dissent on issues between the ruling and opposition parties, discussions lead to final resolutions and progress in the direction of public welfare. They talked at length with the Chief Minister about their village. The Chief Minister stated that development in the Bastar-Sukma regions has been affected for years due to Naxal terrorism. Progress in Chhattisgarh is only possible when development reaches the Bastar and its people.

The state government has initiated the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ Yojana for the overall development of these areas. The state government is providing security in these areas and establishing new camps to enhance security within a radius of 5 kilometres of the camp. Through this scheme, the state government is providing 25 basic facilities and 32 individual-focused government schemes.

Prime Minister Shri Modi directs to provide all facilities to the people of Bastar: During the discussion, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi specifically focuses on the development of Bastar. He has directed that the benefits of every scheme should reach the people of Bastar. The state government has initiated the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ Yojana (‘Your Good Village’ scheme). These villagers informed the Chief Minister that thanks to his initiative, electricity has reached the village and other facilities are also accessible now. The Chief Minister stated,” You all should not wander. You need to invest your energy in the development of your state and country. We are committed to the development of your village. We are always standing with you. We will ensure to provide all facilities to you”.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma also interacted with the villagers. He said that the state government is committed to the overall development of Puvarti and its nearby areas. Through the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ Yojana, the state government is determined to accelerate development in these regions. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government will provide all basic amenities to the people.

Chief Minister Shri Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary, and other legislators were present, and a group photo was taken with the villagers.

The villagers are very happy with this journey. They said that they saw the state legislative assembly for the first time on Wednesday. It was a memorable experience for them. Chief Minister personally briefed them about the proceedings of the assembly, and they were all very pleased.

It is noteworthy that Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, the Home Minister of the state, is working to establish peace in Maoist-affected areas. Under the guidance of the Chief Minister, he has initiated dialogue with the youth of Maoist-affected areas. Special plans are being prepared for these areas, with efforts being made to integrate them into the mainstream.

Villagers’ demand for hospitals and schools: Residents of both villages presented their demand for schools and hospitals to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister stated that through the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ initiative, the government will fulfil the demands of villagers. The new generation of these villages will witness the dawn of development. He further stated, “Together, we will create a better village through the Niyad Nellanaar initiative”.
