Korba, 21 June 2025। In a significant stride towards strengthening workplace safety and operational efficiency, NTPC Korba today inaugurated a newly established 24×7 Overhauling Safety Control Room. The facility was inaugurated by Shri Rajeev Khanna, Executive Director (Korba), in the esteemed presence of Shri Bibhas Ghatak, General Manager (O&M).
Equipped with a modern CCTV surveillance network and Public Address (PA) system, the control room is designed to ensure round-the-clock monitoring of critical areas across the plant during the overhauling period. This technological upgrade is aimed at enabling swift communication, proactive risk mitigation, and enhanced coordination during maintenance operations.
On the occasion, Shri Rajeev Khanna highlighted NTPC Korba’s continued commitment to adopting best-in-class safety practices and leveraging technology to safeguard its workforce and assets. He lauded the efforts of the operations and maintenance teams in executing such a forward-thinking initiative.
The event was attended by Heads of Departments and other senior officials, who collectively recognized the vital role this safety control room will play in strengthening NTPC Korba’s overall safety framework.
This initiative reinforces NTPC’s mission to operate with the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.
