Chhattisgarh earns recognition for the Outstanding Community Based Green Energy Project
“India Green Energy Award 2024” conferred upon Chhattisgarh
Chief Minister Shri Sai extended congratulations and best wishes for the achievement
Raipur, 22 February 2024/ The Indian Federation of Green Energy, New Delhi, has conferred the ‘India Green Energy Award, 2024’ upon the Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority (CBDA) under the energy department of Chhattisgarh. The CBDA has been declared the winner in the ‘Outstanding Community-Based Green Energy Project’ category at the national level. Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sai has extended congratulations and best wishes to the Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority for this achievement.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari presented this award to Shri Sumit Sarkar, Chief Executive Officer, CBDA, in New Delhi on 21 February. Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Shri Rameshwar Teli was also present in the program.
It is noteworthy that Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority has done remarkable work for more than a decade, it has connected rural farmers and beneficiaries in the field of biofuels and bio-energy. Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority’s successful research and development works include biodiesel, bio-ethanol, biojet aviation fuel, bio-CNG, power generation from biogas and grid adjustment.
