Durga completes her Ph.D., balancing studies and family


Mrs. Durga Chandrakar received PhD degree in English from ISBM University Raipur (Chhattisgarh). Her topic was “A Thematic Study On The Fiction Of Jhumpa Lahiri”, which she completed under the guidance of her research supervisor, Ms. Dr. Garima Dewan. Her husband Shri Naresh Chandrakar had special support behind this achievement. Smt. Durga Chandrakar, is the daughter-in-law of Senior Advocate of Korba District and Notary Late Shri N. P. Chandrakar and Late Mrs. Usha Chandrakar. Late N. P. Chandrakar ji was always associated with the field of education during his lifetime and always gave special importance to education, this success of his daughter-in-law is a true tribute to him.

Mrs. Durga Chandrakar has served as a guest lecturer in the Government E.V.P.G. college, Korba District for two years and in Kamla Nehru College for five years. Her success in this subject received direct support and special guidance from Mr. Sumit Kumar Banerjee, Assistant Professor of English, Kamala Nehru College, Korba (Chhattisgarh). On her success, her mother Smt. Ganga Devi Chandra and father Shri L. L. Chandra, Mr. Shiv Kumar Chandrakar, Mrs. Usha Chandrakar, Mrs. Gayatri Devi Chandra, Mr. Jeevendra Chandra, Mr. Sanjay Chandra (brother) and his sisters along with Tarun, Shrijan, Ayush, Samridhi Chandrakar, Mrs. Seema Banerjee, Mrs. Nidhi Singh, Smt. Anju Kumari Diwakar, Mr. Mohan Kumar Diwakar, Mrs. Preeti Jaiswal, Mrs. Kumkum Gulhare, Mr. Brijesh Tiwari, (Head of Department) English Department, Kamla Nehru College, Korba (Chhattisgarh), Dr. Abdul Sattar (Head of Department) Faculty of Education, Kamla Nehru College, Korba (Chhattisgarh) and family members have extended their best wishes.
