Urges citizens to prioritize road safety and adhere to traffic rules
Anjor Rath touring Jashpur to educate the public on traffic rules and cyber security
Raipur 16 January 2024// Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai flagged off the Road Safety Helmet Awareness Rally and Anjor Rath from his home village Bagiya in the Jashpur district on Tuesday.
Stressing the importance of adhering to traffic rules, Chief Minister Shri Sai urged everyone to prioritize safety on the roads. He also pointed out the necessity of wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers and seat belts while driving four-wheelers, besides appealing to citizens not to drink and drive.
Stating that a small mistake can cause harm to many, he asked everyone to follow the road safety rules cautiously. MLA Pathalgaon Smt. Gomati Sai, IG Shri Ankit Garg, CCF Shri Naveed Sajauddin, Collector Dr Ravi Mittal, SP Shri D. Ravi Shankar, along with other public representatives and senior officials were present on the occasion.
The Road Safety Helmet Awareness Rally and Anjor Rath are part of the initiatives organized by the Jashpur District Police Department under the 34th National Road Safety Month 2024. The primary objective is to raise awareness about the adverse consequences of flouting traffic rules and encourage people to comply with regulations. As part of the awareness campaign, ‘Nava Anjor Rath’ will showcase video films to educate the general public about road safety precautions and cyber security. This specially designed chariot will traverse the entire district throughout the next month.
