Raipur 27 December 2023/ Farmers across Chhattisgarh are beaming with happiness as they have unexpectedly received the pending bonus amount for two years of paddy within a few days after the formation of the new government in the state. They are now making plans to utilize the bonus for various essential family needs, including providing higher education to their children and enhancing agricultural practices.

Expressing his happiness upon receiving the paddy bonus, Shri Lambodar Patel, a veteran farmer from Binjhkot village in Korba district, stated that he has received an outstanding amount of Rs 5 lakh 81 thousand 400 as the long-awaited bonus. The prompt transfer of the bonus to his account overwhelmed him with happiness. Grateful for this unexpected financial support, he extended his thanks to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. Shri Patel says that the receipt of the pending bonus has brought prosperity to the families of farmers. He expressed surprise at the quick distribution of the bonus, giving credit to the positive impact of ‘Modi ki Guarantee’ and the farmer-friendly decisions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. Shri Patel, who heads a joint family of 13 members, including three sons, daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren, intends to utilize the bonus to provide higher education to his grandchildren preparing for medical and engineering exams and improve farming practices.

It is worth mentioning that during the Good Governance Day programme organized on the birth anniversary of the late former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, under the ‘Modi ki Guarantee,’ distributed pending paddy bonuses for the Kharif marketing years 2014-15 and 2015, totalling Rs 3,716 crore, to 11,76,815 farmers in the state. The amount was seamlessly transferred to their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Excited farmers, grateful for the bonus, are expressing their thanks to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai.

Likewise, Shri Varun Singh, a farmer from Chhuri, has received Rs 3 lakh 69 thousand 600 as a paddy bonus on Good Governance Day. Expressing his happiness, Shri Singh stated that he never thought of receiving the pending bonus and credited the state government, led by Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, for making it happen. He plans to use the bonus to procure essential resources to boost crop production, including purchasing improved fertilizers and seeds. He extended his gratitude to the state government for this much-needed relief.
