Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai attended the birth anniversary celebration of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji organised at Guru Ghasidas Central University in Bilaspur on Monday. Addressing the people, Chief Minister Mr. Sai highlights the enduring significance of Baba Guru Ghasidas’ message on social harmony and equality, emphasizing its current relevance. Noting the positive impact of Baba Ji’s teachings in maintaining social harmony in Chhattisgarh, Mr. Sai said that the state government will try to further strengthen social harmony in state by following the path shown by Baba Ji.

The Vice Chancellor of the Central University Mr. Alok Kumar Chakrawal presided over the program. Chief Minister launched the book ‘Guru Ghasidas Satnam Panth Ke Pravartak’ edited by the Vice Chancellor. Mr. Sai also honoured the students who won in various competitions held at the university. ATEQ International President Dr. William Painter, Bilha MLA Mr. Dharamlal Kaushik, Bilaspur MLA Mr. Amar Agrawal, and Beltara MLA Mr. Sushant Shukla were present in the programme as special guests.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai Extends Greetings to Chhattisgarh Residents on Baba Ghasidas’ Birth Anniversary. In his inaugural visit to Guru Ghasidas University since assuming office, Mr. Sai commends the university management for orchestrating grand jubilee celebrations. Mr. Sai said that in the 18th century, social discrimination and untouchability were at their peak in the country. He opposed the prevalent situation and initiated preaching about social harmony and equality among all. He shared that Central University, in the name of Baba Guru Ghasidas ji in Bilaspur, is the only-of-its-kind university in India.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai expressed confidence in steering Chhattisgarh to greater prosperity through Baba’s blessings and community cooperation. Emphasizing the state’s fertile land and abundant mineral and forest resources, he envisions Chhattisgarh emerging as a leading state. Commending the university’s efforts beyond education, he inaugurated a blood donation camp aiming for 200 units. He praised the university’s Rs 10 canteen for serving nutritious meals to 600 students and promised to provide support for the Ghasidas University Centre’s expansion in the capital.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma, addressing the event, highlighted Baba Ji’s message and announced the state government’s commitment, led by the Chief Minister, to provide homes for 18 lakh homeless families. Addressing the long-standing concerns of these families, the government’s empathetic decision aims to alleviate their housing issues. Mr. Sharma emphasised that honouring Baba Ji’s legacy involves fostering social harmony and eradicating inequalities. He called on everyone to follow Baba Ji’s path, contributing to the collective effort to build a prosperous Chhattisgarh as a true tribute to the revered figure.

Vice Chancellor Mr. Alok Kumar Chakrawal shared that Chief Minister Mr. Sai’s first official visit to the university is a proud moment for them and highlighted the unprecedented message of unity and social harmony preached by Baba Ji. The message of Baba Ji’s preaching is also incorporated into the Constitution. Dr. William Painter, President of ATEQ International and a special guest, commended Baba Ji’s life message and the university’s achievements. Professor Dr. T.R. Ratre shed light on Baba Ji’s life philosophy, teachings, and message. University Registrar Mr. Manish Srivastava delivered the welcome address, marking the occasion with insightful perspectives on Babaji’s profound influence.

Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to Baba Guru Ghasidas by garlanding his statue at the Guru Ghasidas Central University campus in Bilaspur. He took the blessings of Baba Guru Ghasidas for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Chhattisgarh. Students welcomed the Chief Minister by performing a panthi dance.

Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai received a warm welcome at the helipad. This is Mr. Sai’s first visit to Bilaspur after becoming the Chief Minister. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma was also with him. Vice Chancellor Mr. Alok Kumar Chakrawal, Bilha MLA Mr. Dharamlal Kaushik, Bilaspur MLA Mr. Amar Agrawal, Beltara MLA Mr. Sushant Shukla, Mayor Mr. Ramsharan Yadav, Mr. Bhupendra Savanni, Mr. Ramdev Kumawat, and former MLA Mr. Rajneesh Singh were present at the helipad.

Divisional Commissioner Mr. K.D. Kunjam, IG Mr. Ajay Yadav, Collector Mr. Awanish Sharan, SP Mr. Santosh Singh, university teachers, officers-employees, students, public representatives, and distinguished citizens were also present.
