SECL bids fond farewell to Director Technical Operations Shri S.K. Pal
On the ocassion of Director Technical (Operations) Shri SK who retiring from Coal India/SECL on 30.09.2023, CMD Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra, Director (Finance) Shri G. Srinivasan, Director Technical (Planning-Project/Operation) Shri S.N. Kapri, Director (Personnel) Shri Debasis Acharyya, Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Jayant Kumar Khamari, President of Shraddha Mahila Mandal Smt. Poonam Mishra, Vice Presidents – Smt. Ritanjali Pal, Smt. R. Raji Srinivasan, Smt. Sangeeta Kapri, Smt. Sujata Khamari, special guests Shri Dilip Nanda, Shri Sandhyarani Nanda, Shri Rajendra Nanda, Smt. Jyatirmaya Nanda, various heads of departments, Area General Managers, steering committee, safety committee, officials of the welfare board, SC/ST/OBC, CMOAI and various labor union representatives, officers and employees bid an emotional farewell to Shri Pal.
Speaking on this ocassion Shri S.K. Pal thanked everyone for their support during his more than 38 years of service in Coal India. He said that success is definitely achieved by accepting the challenges of the coal sector and being committed towards one’s goal and working continuously. He said that SECL is a company of limitless possibilities, there is no dearth of resources, and talent here. The human capital that SECL has is full of bright minded, talented professionals, a team of hard working and dedicated people who will take the company to new heights in the times to come. While sharing his moments spent in SECL, he expressed his gratitude to everyone for this heartfelt honor given by SECL.
CMD Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra said that Shri Pal works with vision and patience while working hard, taking concrete decisions in the most complicated times. He moved forward with creativity, efficiency and spirit of service, which is a source of inspiration and example for all. Due to his dedication, hard work and his accurate decision-making ability, he is retiring from the responsible post of Director Technical Operations of a reputed coal producing company like SECL. In the end he prayed for a happy future for Shri Pal and his family.
Director (Finance) Shri G. Srinivasan said that Mr. Pal is a seasoned mining engineer. The biggest quality of Shri Pal is to find a solution by maintaining his composure even in the most difficult situations.
Director Technical (Planning/Project) Shri S.N. Kapri said that the specialty of Shri Pal is how to work in adverse circumstances and how to reach the goal.
Director (Personnel) Shri Debashish Acharya said that he always had a very humanistic approach. You will be remembered as a dreamer, strategist and efficient person.
Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Jayant Kumar Khamari said that Shri Pal had a unique style of working which was instrumental in increasing coal production-productivity. Shri Pal has been making efforts for adjustment of new technical and traditional mining methods, techniques to reduce mine accidents, good working conditions in mines, welfare of workers and their families etc. which is commendable and inspiring.
On this occasion, labor union officials Shri Shri Haridwar Singh (AITUC), Shri Gopal Narayan Singh (SEKMC), Shri BM Manohar (CITU), in their respective addresses, said that Shri Pal is a multidimensional personality, rich in humility and sociability, hardworking. You always inspired your subordinates and provided ideological and inspirational leadership, which encouraged them to perform their work with dedication, putting in their best efforts.
The welcome address on this occasion was given by General Manager (Sales/Marketing) Shri C.B. Singh presented while the certificate of honor (Maan-Patra) was read by General Manager Kusmunda Area Shri Sanjay Mishra and was presented to Shri S.K. Pal. Photo albums and press clippings collected by the Public Relations Department were presented in the program which was presented by the Board of Directors to Shri S.K. Pal. The program was conducted by Chief Manager (Environment) Mr. Sheikh Zakir Hussain while at the end, General Manager (Quality Control) Mr. R.P. Singh gave the vote of thanks
