Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurates the newly constructed state-of-the-art Central Library

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated a state-of-the-art central library, constructed at a cost of Rs 6 crore, within the Government Gundadhur PG College campus during his visit to Kondagaon. The Chief Minister stated that the library will provide a vast source of knowledge to youth, support their skill development, and empower them to shape their future more effectively.

The inauguration of the Central Library in Kondagaon marks a significant step towards establishing the district as an educational hub. This library is dedicated to serving individuals of all age groups, including children, youth, and senior citizens, aiming to cater to diverse reading preferences. To enhance convenience, the library has been thoughtfully divided into specialised zones, including the Newspaper Magazine Zone, Kids Zone, Discussion Zone, and Reading Zone, ensuring comprehensive access to various forms of literature and knowledge. In addition to the library, the state government has launched an e-knowledge portal. This portal hosts a comprehensive database of books available in 128 government secondary and high school libraries, making these resources accessible online. Residents, including students and citizens, can now request any book from these libraries from the comfort of their homes. The requested books will be delivered within 7 days through the Block Source Coordinator, fostering greater access to educational resources in the district.

In a move to boost self-employment opportunities, the Incubation and Innovation Hub in Kondagaon was inaugurated. This initiative aims to guide unemployed youth and aspiring startup entrepreneurs. Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with prestigious state institutions such as IIT Bhilai, IIIT Naya Raipur, and Headstart, enabling them to offer crucial guidance on business operations to incubator program participants, fostering entrepreneurship in the district.

Excise Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Mr. Mohan Markam, Bastar MP Mr. Deepak Baij, Keshkal MLA Mr. Santram Netam, Zila Panchayat President Mr. Devchand Matlam, President of Sarv Adivasi Samaj Mr. Bangaram Sodi, President of Gondwana Samaj Mr. Budhsingh Netam, various office bearers of the tribal communities, Collector Mr.Deepak Soni, SP Mr. Y Akshay Kumar, and various public representatives were present.
