Raipur, September 13, 2023/ Governor Shri Biswabhushan Harichandan unveiled the oil painting of eminent literateur and ideal publisher Late Shri Anant Mishra in Cuttack during his stay in Orissa. This program was organized by Utkal Sahitya Samaj Cuttack.
Governor Shri Harichandan while addressing the event said that the creative ability of Shri Anant Mishra in the field of contemporary book publishing has established Oriya literature in the higher echelons of prosperity. Throughout his life Shri Mishra aimed to inspire writers and encourage high quality literary creations. He was an exemplary publisher. This prominent personality of the publishing industry was successful in getting writers to create literature as per their needs. Shri Harichandan highlighted the role of literature and publishers in the society. He added that Shri Mishra became a leading publisher in the field of literature by staying in touch with the famous litterateurs of his time.
President of the Institute Dr. Gobind Chandra Chand, presided over the program. Eminent publisher and writer Nrusingh Prasad Mishra threw light on the life of Shri Anant Mishra. The keynote speaker, President of KIS University Gopabandhu, Professor Dr. Vijayanand Singh, discussed the achievements of Anant Mishra as a publisher. Vice President of Utkal Sahitya Samaj, Shri Jeevanand Adhikari welcomed the guests. The vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Sunmani Raut, Editor-in-Chief of the organization.
