839.8 mm of average rainfall recorded in Chhattisgarh so far

Highest rainfall in the state was recorded in Bijapur district, while the least was recorded in Surguja district

Raipur, 12 September 2023/ According to the information compiled by the state-level control room set up by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department of the state government, an average rainfall of 819.4 mm was recorded in the state since June 1, 2023. In accordance with the rainfall recorded in various districts of the state from June 1, 2023, to September 12, morning, the highest average rainfall of 1453.9 mm was recorded in Bijapur district and the lowest average rainfall  of 381.9 mm in Surguja district. According to the information received from the state-level flood control room, from June 1 till now, an average rainfall of 698.8 mm was recorded in Surajpur district, 788.0 mm in Balrampur, 693.6 mm in Jashpur, 785.9 mm in Koriya, 810.9 mm in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur.

Similarly, average rainfall of 912.8 mm in Raipur district, 825.4 mm in Balodabazar, 735.9 mm in Gariyaband, 853.8 mm in Mahasamund, 788.5 mm in Dhamtari, 862.5 mm in Bilaspur, 1009.1 mm in Mungeli, 969.4 mm in Raigarh, 743.9 mm in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, 725.3 mm in Janjgir-Champa, 730.8 mm in Sakti, 833.0 mm in Korba, 885.3 mm in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, and 696.9 mm in Durg was recorded. Average rainfall of 664.8 mm in Kabirdham district, 623.8 mm in Rajnandgaon, 1062.8 mm in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, 869.6 mm in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 854.6 mm in Balod, 654.0 mm in Bemetara, 920.9 mm in Bastar, 922.2 mm in Kondagaon, An average rainfall of 828.2 mm was recorded in Kanker, 815.4 mm in Narayanpur, 942.0 mm in Dantewada, and 1251.1 mm in Sukma was recorded from June 1 until now.
