Poshan Badi in every house in the village, All children of Bijapur, Naimed Nayapara Anganwadi Center are free from malnutrition

Raipur, 8 September 2023/ The vision of the Chief Minister’s Suposhan Abhiyan is starting to come true. The Integrated Women and Child Development Project under District Bijapur, in Nayapara Naimed village of the Bijapur sector, made a Poshan Badi in every house, as a result of which all the children of the center got rid of malnutrition. In the Anganwadi center of the village, a Poshan Badi has been built by planting green vegetables. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is also encouraging people to build a Poshan Badi in every house to eliminate malnutrition. This effort by the government is reaping positive results.

Anganwadi worker Mrs. Jyoti Patel is feeding hot food made of green vegetables obtained from Poshan Badi to children and women. Jyoti Patel, along with her sector supervisor, visits every beneficiary’s house and motivates them to build Poshan Badis and include green vegetables in their diet. Today, in the remote village of Naimed Nayapara in Bijapur, there is a Poshan Badi in the house of every beneficiary. They regularly include green vegetables in their diet. People are also consuming eggs, millet, chikki, and porridge available under the Chhattisgarh government’s ambitious scheme, Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan. Presently, there is not a single malnourished child in the area. Anganwadi assistant Ramdulari plays a special role in freeing the village from malnutrition.

Consuming a balanced diet daily in one’s routine keeps the body and mind fresh throughout the day. A balanced diet also meets a person’s nutritional needs. Green vegetables, fruits, milk, and curd should be included in the diet. An adequate amount of protein, carbohydrate, fat, minerals, etc. are found in it. Through the Department of Women and Child Development, the Chhattisgarh government is helping build Poshan Badi in every house so that children and women get nutritious food.
