Women earned Rs.70,000 by selling bakery biscuit through RIPA 


Manendragarh, 28 August 2023/ The state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, has launched Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Parks(RIPA) to create new employment opportunities and encourage small industries in the state. Village employment sees a positive impact as women and youth secure jobs. Through this, youth and women entrepreneurs are getting employment opportunities at the local level, strengthening the rural economy. The Suvidha Women’s Group is engaged in manufacturing bakery biscuits in the Rural Industrial Park under the Bharatpur Development Block in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district. There are five members working in the group. They have started manufacturing bakery biscuits under the direction of Collector Mr. Narendra Kumar Dugga and District CEO Mr. Ashutosh Chaturvedi. As the demand for high-quality and nutritious products is constantly increasing in the market. The women of the group sell these items to local markets at affordable rates with guaranteed purity. The women involved in this process said that it has improved their quality of life and made them financially independent. As of now, the group has sold bakery biscuits worth Rs. 70,000, earning a net profit of Rs 30,000. While praising the Chhattisgarh Government’s scheme, women members added that it’s because of the vision of the Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, that women from villages are becoming entrepreneurs. They also expressed their delight upon receiving employment.
