Raipur, 24 August 2023 / Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, Mr. Ramesh Sinha, after hearing cases in the High Court on August 23, 2023, visited Bhatapara and Baloda-Bazar for an inspection. At first, he inspected Bhatapara Subordinate Court and during the inspection, he heard judicial officer’s cases. The washroom facility in the court premises was found to be inadequate. Administrative officials present there informed that the government has allocated 6.25 acres of land for construction of a new building for the court, where 06 new courtrooms will be built. It was also mentioned that the PWD has not yet sent the revised estimate, which is causing delays in the building construction process. During the inspection, Collector Mr. Chandan Kumar and SP of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, Mr. Deepak Kumar Jha, were present. Chief Justice directed Collector Mr. Chandan Kumar to take prompt action in this regard. Collector has assured that the revised estimate will be presented within two days.
Following the inspection in Bhatapara, Chief Justice Mr. Sinha conducted inspection in Baloda-Bazar District Court. He was satisfied with the cleanliness, vehicle parking, seating arrangement for advocates, and the waiting area for litigants. Advocates present on the occasion felicitated the Chief Justice. He interacted with the advocates, learned about their problems, and then held a meeting with judicial officers, providing necessary instructions. During the comprehensive inspection, Registrar General Mr. Arvind Kumar Verma and Additional Registrar KPPS Mr. M.B.L.N. Subrahmanyam were also present alongside Chief Justice.
Notably, within a few months of taking office, the Chief Justice has inspected majority of the district courts in the state, providing necessary guidance to officers to improve the infrastructure and facilities. As a result, significant positive changes are evident in the functioning and organization of the courts and the legal system.
