Raipur 21 August 2023// According to the information gathered by State Revenue and Disaster Management Department through the State Control Room, the state has recorded an average rainfall of 697.3 mm from June 1, 2023, till now. Analyzing the rainfall data from June 1 to the morning of August 21, the Bijapur district experienced the highest average rainfall of 1234.1 mm, while the Surguja district recorded the lowest average at 325.2 mm during the same period.
As per the information provided by the State-Level Flood Control Room, the recorded average rainfall since June 1 varies across districts. In Surajpur district, an average rainfall of 609.2 mm has been registered, while Balrampur has experienced 627.8 mm, Jashpur has recorded 556.2 mm, and the Koriya and Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur districts have seen 667.8 mm and 680.2 mm of average rainfall respectively.
Similarly, 810.0 mm in Raipur district, 691.2 mm in Balodabazar, 638.5 mm in Gariaband, 736.2 mm in Mahasamund, 717.4 mm in Dhamtari, 720.0 mm in Bilaspur, 860.3 mm in Mungeli, 777.9 mm in Raigarh, 621.0 mm in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh. Average rainfall of 593.1 mm was recorded in Janjgir-Champa, 591.0 mm in Sakti, 679.4 mm in Korba, 683.9 mm in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 569.4 mm in Durg, 548.3 mm in Kabirdham district, 777.5 mm in Rajnandgaon, 893.6 mm in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, 717.7 mm in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 757.7 mm in Balod, 544.1 mm in Bemetara, 714.0 mm in Bastar, 612.8 mm in Kondagaon, 664.4 mm in Kanker, 624.4 mm in Narayanpur, 810.2 mm in Dantewada and 1022.4 mm in Sukma since June 1.
