Raipur, 14 August 2023/ On the occasion of Independence Day, Governor Mr. Biswabhushan Harichandan has extended his best wishes to all countrymen, including the people of the state, army personnel, and freedom fighters.
Governor Mr. Harichandan said in his message that on August 15, India is completing 77 years of glorious independence. The fight for our freedom was long and arduous, and innumerable brave men made their sacrifices. We salute all those great men and their sacrifices. Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, and many other freedom fighters played a prominent role in liberating India from British rule in their own ways. We should not forget the sacrifices of those innumerable fighters. To maintain this freedom, the brave soldiers of our army and police personnel have also lost their lives. Paying tribute to them, the Governor said that the contribution of soldiers can never be forgotten.
The Governor said that we are celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence to mark the completion of 75 years of India’s independence and to celebrate the glorious history of its people, culture, and achievements. This festival is our tribute to the innumerable freedom fighters. On this auspicious festival of independence, let us all take a pledge to free the country from disruptive and anti-social elements.
Governor Mr. Harichandan also called upon the young generation to play an active role in strengthening the unity and integrity of India.
