SHGs earned Rs. 59.04 lakh by producing organic pesticides and ‘jeevamrit’ growth promoter from ‘gau-mutra’

The state government’s ambitious ‘Godhan NYAY Yojana’ in Gauthans has extended its procurement to include ‘gau-mutra’ (cow urine) at Rs 4 per litre, alongside cow dung. The SHGs, through gauthans, have procured a substantial quantity of 2,25,507 litres of ‘gau-mutra’ worth Rs 9,02,028, which has enabled them to produce and sell 96,968 litres of ‘Brahamastra’ pesticide and 35,290 litres of ‘Jeevamrit’ growth promoter. This remarkable initiative has played a vital role in promoting organic farming practises within the state. Additionally, farmers in the state have purchased 93,777 litres of ‘Brahamastra’ organic pesticide and 33,193 litres of ‘Jeevamrit’ growth promoter, further supporting sustainable agricultural methods. The SHGs have earned Rs. 59.04 lakh by producing organic pesticides and ‘jeevamrit’ growth promoter from ‘gau-mutra’.
