SHGs producing organic pesticides and ‘jeevamrit’ growth promoter from ‘gau-mutra’
Raipur 16 July 2023/ The state government’s ambitious ‘Godhan NYAY Yojana’ in Gauthans has extended its procurement to include ‘gau-mutra’ (cow urine) at Rs 4 per litre, alongside cow dung. The SHGs, through gauthans, have procured a substantial quantity of 2,14,272 litres of ‘gau-mutra’ worth Rs 8,57,088, which has enabled them to produce and sell 91,630 litres of ‘Brahamastra’ pesticide and 34,950 litres of ‘Jeevamrit’ growth promoter.
This remarkable initiative has played a vital role in promoting organic farming practises within the state. Additionally, farmers in the state have purchased 88,227 litres of ‘Brahamastra’ organic pesticide and 32,765 litres of ‘Jeevamrit’ growth promoter, further supporting sustainable agricultural methods.
