Nucleus Club Concludes 2nd Edition of 30-Day Run/Walk Challenge at NTPC Korba

Korba, 13 May 2025 .The Nucleus Club at NTPC Korba successfully concluded the second edition of its much-anticipated 30-Day Run/Walk Challenge with a spirited closing ceremony on 11 May 2025. The event marked the culmination of a month-long fitness journey aimed at promoting health and wellness among its members.

The ceremony began with an enthusiastic group walk, “Walk with the Leader,” led by ED Korba, Shri Rajeev Khanna, and President of Maitri Mahila Samiti, Smt. Roli Khanna. They were joined by GM (O&M) Shri Bibhas Ghatak, heads of departments, and several participants of the challenge, symbolizing unity and shared commitment toward fitness.

Running from April 11 to May 10, 2025, the challenge encouraged members to engage in regular physical activity, requiring a minimum of 2 kilometers of walking or running on at least 21 out of 30 days to earn the “Finisher” title. Out of 170 enthusiastic participants, an impressive 130 successfully met the criteria, contributing to a collective achievement of 22,053 kilometers covered over 4,214 hours of activity.

To foster inclusivity and healthy competition, the challenge featured five distinct categories: Couples, Women Under 40, Women Over 40, Men Under 40, and Men Over 40. The top three performers in each category were felicitated alongside all Finishers during the award ceremony, receiving trophies in recognition of their dedication and effort.

In his address, Shri Rajeev Khanna emphasized the importance of integrating fitness into everyday life. He applauded the participants for their commitment and congratulated the Nucleus Club for organizing yet another successful edition of the challenge. “Such initiatives are vital not just for physical fitness but also for mental well-being. I encourage everyone to make regular exercise a part of their daily routine,” he said.

The Run/Walk Challenge has grown into a hallmark initiative of the Nucleus Club, reinforcing its mission to promote a culture of wellness and community engagement among members. With the success of the second edition, the club continues to inspire individuals to embrace a healthier and more active lifestyle.
