Impact of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel’s request for public contribution, Chhattisgarh sets three new world records
The Environment Conservation Board enters the Limca Book of Records for Raipur district and the India State Book of World Records and World Record Book for the state
Raipur, 1 June 2023/ 12 lakh 38 thousand 116 people in Chhattisgarh took the pledge for environment conservation today and set a new world record. The Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board had organized the pledge event under the Mission Life Program on 1 June 2023 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In accordance with a unique initiative by the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board and E.I.A.C.P. to raise awareness for public contribution in the field of environmental conservation, a goal was set to administer pledges for environmental protection. The Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel had urged the state’s residents to participate in this campaign of the Environment Conservation Board. He had said that it is not only a pledge but a public campaign, which will set a new record in ‘Nava Chhattisgarh’.
The request of the Chief Minister had an impact, and people belonging to all classes of the state participated in the campaign. More than 12 lakh 38 thousand 116 people took a pledge of environment protection in a day and set a world record. The world record for the greatest number of pledges taken in a day was broken in Raipur, and the Board entered the Limca Book of Records with 1 lakh 75 thousand 209 pledges. Moreover, the Board also entered the India Star Book of Records and the World Record Book with more than 12 lakh 38 thousand 116 pledges in the state. The Minister of Housing and Environment Mr. Mohammad Akbar and the President of the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board Mr. Subrat Sahoo have thanked the state’s residents and congratulated the officers and employees of the Board. The member of the Board, Mr. R.P. Tiwari has also thanked all the people who participated in the campaign.
