Chief Minister inaugurated and performed bhoomipujan of various development works

Raipur, 01 June 2023/ Prior to attending the National Ramayana Festival today, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, at Collector’s office premises in Raigarh, and also unveiled the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari built there. He also observed the activities at RIPA and appreciated the works of the groups associated with it.

On this occasion, Chief Minister presented development works worth more than Rs 465 crore to Raigarh district. These include bhumipujan of 59 development and construction works costing Rs 258 crore 74 lakh 26 thousand and inauguration of 53 works worth Rs 207 crore 4 lakh 49 thousand.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel inaugurated two Hamar labs in Dharamjaigarh and Pusaur development blocks, built at the cost of more than Rs. 58 lakhs. He also inaugurated the affordable medicine shop ‘Dhanwantri Medical’ in District Hospital Raigarh. With the objective to provide proper guidance and a conducive environment to the youth preparing for competitive examinations, facilities at Mukhyamantri Yuva Kendra in Gharghoda has been expanded. Chief Minister inaugurated the aforementioned upgradation works done here today. District library operating in Raigarh has been upgraded and equipped with the necessary facilities for the students. The upgradation works done at the Library were also inaugurated at hands of Chief Minister.

Likewise, inauguration, bhoomipujan and foundation laying of 62 works worth Rs 186 crore 39 lakh under various construction departments was also performed on the occasion. These include construction and renovation/upgradation work of roads, school buildings and other buildings as follows- community building construction work and road renovation work worth Rs 14 crore 39 lakh 71 thousand under Municipal Corporation Raigarh, works worth Rs 38 crore 24 lakh 70 thousand under Panchayat and Rural Development Department, 27 Samuh Nal-Jal Yojana and solar based tap water works worth Rs 107 crore 68 lakh 20 thousand under Public Health Engineering Department, bhoomipujan of the District Transport Office built at a cost of Rs 95 lakh 95 thousand under the Transport Department, 12 works worth Rs 4 crore 58 lakh 63 thousand under Forest and Climate Change Department, construction work of pre-matric tribal boys hostel with 50-seat capacity at 3 places at a cost of Rs 4 crore 68 lakh 70 thousand under Tribal Development Department and construction of 5 bridges at a cost of Rs 108 crore 25 lakh under Public Works Department bridge division is also included.
