During the Bhent Mulakat program of the Bhatapara Vidhan Sabha on Monday, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel observed the RIPA of Kadar and inspected various livelihood-oriented activities happening there. He also held important discussions with members of the women’s group. The women of the self-help group informed the Chief Minister that RIPA had given them the self-assurance to go after different sources of income with ease. The money they earn here is also helping them become financially strong.

The Chief Minister observed the spice manufacturing unit. Itara Dhiwar of the Om Sai Ram self-help group, who runs the unit, informed the Chief Minister that they have sold chili-spice worth Rs 50,000. Members of the group are also involved in manufacturing vermicompost and have sold vermicompost worth Rs. 1 lakh 20 thousand. There are a total of 11 members in this group, and they divide the profit amount evenly among themselves.

Pooja Sahu from the Maa Saraswati women’s self-help group, overseeing the incense sticks unit, reported that they have sold products worth 80,000 rupees so far, which had production costs of around 10,000 rupees. Similarly, Sangeeta Banjare, a member of the Satnam Mahila self-help group operating the Dona Pattal unit, shared that they have successfully sold fifty thousand bundles of Dona Pattal. The manufacturing of Dona Pattal incurred expenses of 20,000 rupees, resulting in a net profit of 30,000 rupees.

A mini-dal mill unit was set up at Ripa at a cost of Rs. 2.5 lakh

A member of the Mahamaya self-help group, Devika Verma, stated that a mini dal mill unit was set up around two months ago with government assistance at a cost of Rs 2.50 lakh. They received 20 quintals of Arhar dal from Krishi Vigyan Kendra and are processing it for sale in the open market.
