Raipur: ‘Aakar-2023’: Wave of enthusiasm among Children, Youth, and elders undergoing training in traditional crafts

Be it children, youth, or elders, everyone is enthusiastic to undergo training in traditional arts in the Aakar-2023. It is noteworthy that Aakar, which is organized by the Culture Department, is an initiative to promote the state’s traditional arts. This training camp is organized annually and just like the previous years, this year also ‘Traditional Crafts and Various Arts Training Camp Aakar-2023’ is being organized to inculcate people’s interest towards traditional crafts and arts. The venue for this year’s Aakar is Mahant Ghasidas Smarak Museum ,Civil Lines and the training camp has been commenced from 01 May and will continue till May 19.

      Officials of the Culture Department informed that the participants who have registered for ‘Aakar-2023’ will be given opportunities to undergo training in Mural Art, Papermaking, Clay Art, Wood, Bamboo Craft and Sculpture, Painting, Madhubani Art, Patachitra, Paddy Jewellery, Dry Flower, Glass Painting, Tattoo Art, Para Art, Terracotta, Rajwar Bhatti, Classical Dance, Drama, Folk Dance, Jute Craft, Mehndi Art, cow dung-based Art, Warli Art, Sand Art, Mandala Art, Mandana Art, Gond Art, Saura Art, Sketch Painting, bonsai art, and musical instrument making techniques.

The artifacts and goods made by the trainees will be displayed in the venue after the completion of training and certificates will also be provided to the trainees.
