Ramayan Manas Mandali performers will be honored in front of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for carrying on the Ramayan Legacy
Popular Mumbai singer Trupti Shakya will be performing devotional bhajans
Raipur, 24 April . Temples devoted to Shri Ram can be found throughout the country; however, the only very old temple dedicated to his mother Kaushalya is in Chandkhuri, Chhattisgarh. A three-day Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav is being organized on the temple premises to encourage women’s empowerment. This grand festival will conclude today with Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel gracing the event as Chief Guest. Famous singer Padma Shri Kailash Kher will also give a performance of his devotional melodies in front of the audience at Mata Kaushalya Dham today.
Along with this, devotional songs by Mumbai’s famous singer Trupti Shakya, Devesh Sharma of Raigarh, and Ramayan Manas Gyan will be performed by local women artists. It is worth mentioning that in a bid to carry forward the Ram Ramayani tradition, the state government has undertaken the initiative of honoring the artists of Ramayan Manas Mandali. Under this, the state is providing a monetary incentive of Rs 5,000 per Manas Mandali.
On this occasion, Culture Minister Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat will be present as president; Home and Tourism Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu; Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey; and Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahariya will be present as special guests at the closing ceremony of Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav.
