On the auspicious day of AkshayTritiya (Akti), Chief Minister Shri. Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the ‘Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav’ at Chandkhuri, Lord Shri Ram’s maternal place and the city of Mata Kaushalya. An attractive stage has been prepared for The Kaushalya Mahotsav program. In this festival of religion and devotion, cultural activities will be presented by renowned artists from the country, including Chhattisgarh.
To add into the festival’s dignity, popular young classical singer Maithili Thakur and renowned singer Padma Shri Kailash Kher will perform at Prabhu Shri Ram’s Nanihal Chandkhuri.
Maithili Thakur, famous for classical songs, will perform on the second day of the Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav, while Kailash Kher will perform on April 24, the last day of the Mahotsav. Seeing the importance of Chandkhuri, these two well-known artists of the country have given their consent to come here without losing this special moment. On the first day of Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav, there will be a performance by Mumbai’s famous bhajan singer Kavita Paudwal and Varanasi’s Vyomesh Shukla, who will perform Shakti Puja of Shri Ram.
It is worth noting on Republic Day this year in order to celebrate the glory of Mata Kaushalya’s birthplace Chandkhuri on the global stage, promote art, culture, and tourism, women empowerment, protection of working artists, promotion and continuous development of art groups. Chief Minister Shri. Bhupesh Baghel made an announcement of Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav to be celebrated. It’s the only kaushalya Mata temple in India.
Tourist cafe will be inaugurated:
On the occasion of the Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will also inaugurate the tourist cafe presented by the tourism department in the temple grounds. Millets products with Chhattisgarhi cuisine will be sold in the tourist cafe.
Chhattisgarhi culture will be reflected in the stalls of self-help groups
For the purpose of empowering women, the market is being made available for sale and promotion of goods produced by self-help groups. On the occasion of Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav, nine stalls have been set up for the sale of things manufactured by women self-help groups, providing a glimpse of Chhattisgarhi culture.
