Raipur, April 12. Yesterday, members of the Chhattisgarh Panthi Parivar’s youth panthi dance group paid a courtesy call to Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel at his residential office. Members of the Panthi Dance Team told Chief Minister Mr. Baghel that on the occasion of Republic Day this year, they presented their dance form on Kartavya Path in New Delhi. For the past 13 years, they have been doing panthi dance. This year, at the final phase of the ‘Vande Bharatam Dance Festival-2023,’ they performed Panthi dance of Chhattisgarh on Kartavya path alongside folk dance performers from all over the country, which was well appreciated by the audience.
Youth Panthi artists told Chief Minister Mr. Baghel that they are interested in doing panthi dance which helps them to spread Guru Ghasidas Baba’s message of ‘Mankhe Mankhe Ek Samaan’ throughout the country and abroad. They have currently performed panthi dance in various states and have won awards at the national level.
The Chief Minister praised and complimented the artists of Yuva Panthi Dance Team. However, Chief Minister encouraged them to raise the name of Chhattisgarh by devoting themselves to the enchanting folk dance panthi of the state. On this occasion, Panthi dancers Mr. Poondas Joshi, Mr. Manoj Dewangan, Mr. Manoj Keskar, Mr. Falen Bhaskar, Mr. Pitambar Jangde, Ms. Alka Singh, Ms. Vishala Singh, Ms. Annu Chandravanshi, Ms. Monika Mahilange, Mr. Heera Banjare, Mr. Mahesh Dahire. Mr. Somesh Kurre and Ms. Uttara Sahu were present.
