Raipur, 11 April . As intended by the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, natural paint manufacturing units are being started in Gauthans of various districts. Government offices are being painted with natural paints manufactured from cow dung. In the Adarsh Gauthan of Afrid village in Bamhanidih development block of Janjgir-Champa district, a cow dung paint manufacturing unit has been set up under the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park Scheme, which is the first natural paint manufacturing unit of this district.

In this unit, 120 liters of natural paint have been manufactured by the Vishwa Self-help group. This natural paint has also been used to paint the Village Panchayat Bhawan. 40 liters of paint have been used to paint the building. Additionally, orders have been issued to paint other government offices in the district using the paint. This natural paint (paint manufactured from cow dung) is not only eco-friendly but also anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.

It is noteworthy that under the ambitious Narva Garwa Ghurwa Bari Yojana and Godhan Nyay Yojana of the state government, women self-help groups are manufacturing other products along with Vermicompost from cow dung in Gauthans. Under this, crop insecticide and Jeevamrit are being manufactured from cow urine in the Janjgir-Champa district.
