CM Bhupesh Baghel relished delicious Chhattisgarhi food at Sonkar family’s residence

Raipur, 7 April . Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, under the statewide Bhent Mulaqat program, reached Durg City Assembly constituency’s Ward no. 39 in Durg District. He visited Punuram Sonkar’s residence located near Sonkar Bhawan to partake meals in the presence of Mr. Sonkar’s family members. The Sonkar family welcomed the Chief Minister with ‘Tilak-Aarti’ and a floral bouquet. On this occasion, the Forest Minister and Minister In charge of the District Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Local MLA Mr. Arun Vora, and President of CG State Mineral Development Corporation Mr. Girish Dewangan were present.

Here, the Chief Minister was served Chhattisgarhi dishes in his meal. The Chief Minister relished the taste of various dishes like rice, dal, ‘Munga’ with Chapati, ‘Baigan Badi’ and ‘Semi’, ‘Lal Bhaji’, Parwal Alu, ‘Jimikand Sabzi’ and ‘Bijauri’, ‘Laai Badi’, Papad, Salad and Tomato chutney, Kheer-Puri, and Gujhiya.

Punuram Sonkar said to the Chief Minister that he owns a vegetable shop in Indira market, and the income from the vegetable shop is the source of his family’s livelihood. He has ration card and all members of his family possess their respective Ayushman Cards as well. There are 5 members in his family. He said that his two elder sons work as drivers and his younger son helps him in the vegetable shop.

The Chief Minister thanked the Sonkar family for the delicious Chhattisgarhiya meal and also gave them presents. The family members of Mr. Sonkar were delighted to have the Chief Minister amongst themselves.
