Both online and offline modes available for application submission

Under ‘Mahtari Dular Yojana’, admission to eligible children with special priority

Raipur, 6 April . There are 247 Swami Atmanand English medium schools and 32 Swami Atmanand excellent Hindi medium schools operating in the state. Approval was given in the budget for starting 101 new Swami Atmanand English medium schools in the state in session 2023-24. For the admission of students in all these schools for the session 2023-24, the SAGES portal will be started from April 10. The admission date has been fixed from April 10 to May 5. In case of excess applications, seat allotment through the lottery will be executed from May 5 to May 10 and further admission process will be completed from May 11 to May 15.
The Directorate of Public Instructions has issued guidelines to all district education officers regarding admission in Swami Atmanand Excellent Schools and asked them to ensure their compliance. District education officers have been directed that applications for admission in Hindi and English medium schools can be made through both online and offline means. A student can apply for only one school. In Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium Schools, priority will be given in admission to the students of 152 primary and 153 middle English medium schools for classes 6th and 9th.
According to the announcement of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, special priority under ‘Mahtari Dular Yojana’ will be given to orphaned children whose parents died in corona pandemic. It will be mandatory to attach the death certificate of the parent along with the application form for admission. In every class of English medium school, 50 percent of girl students will be selected for the vacant seats. In case of not getting the sufficient number of girls, the seats can be filled with boys. Children of BPL and economically weaker parents will be given admission against 25 percent of the total vacant seats. Parents will have to submit an income certificate issued by the competent authority. Rest 25 percent of seats will be filled randomly through the lottery system. If there are more eligible applicants for the vacant seats, the selection will be done through a lottery. For admission in Class I, the age of the student should be between 5 to 6 years and 6 months as on 31 May 2023.
For admission in Swami Atmanand excellent Hindi medium schools, the girl students already studying in the same school will not need to apply for admission in the next class. Except for girls’ schools, 50 percent of the vacant seats in each class will be reserved for girl students in co-education schools. In case of not getting the sufficient number of girls, the seats can be filled with boys. Society headed by the Collector will have the right to give admission according to the capacity of the school. Admission in classes 6th and 9th in these schools will be taken as per the decision made by the society.
