Dantewada: Jageshwari received the help of the Government and Administration for the treatment of a rare disease

Dantewada, 6 April . The Government and the Administration have been committed to providing better healthcare facilities to common people. They have always tried to ensure the provision of healthcare facilities to people living in interior regions. Jageshwari, a resident of the Dantewada district, is suffering from a rare disease called Ichthyosis Histrix (Tree Man syndrome). For Jageshwari’s treatment, at the initiative of the District Administration, she has been sent to Medical College Raipur. It is noteworthy that Jageshwari had come forward with this rare disease 3 years ago in the health camp of Pahurnar village, where she was sent to the Medical College Raipur on the initiative of the District Administration.

Jageshwari was given superior treatment for more than about a month in the medical college. Thereafter, Jageshwari was discharged. However, this incurable disease had held onto her. After that, treatment-related help was regularly sent by the Administration to Jageshwari’s home.  After this, the Health Department constantly requested to send Jageshwari to Raipur for proper treatment, But Jageshwari was unable to go to Raipur for family reasons. Under the guidance of Collector Mr. Vinit Nandanwar, a team of the Health Department reached Jageshwari’s village Kaurgaon and she was brought to the Dantewada District Hospital through ambulance, where she was given first aid and then sent to Raipur for better treatment. The Health Department’s team was also sent from Dantewada along with Jageshwari. The team will stay with Jageshwari there to treat and care for her. The expenses of Jageshwari’s treatment will be borne by the Health Department.
