80 couples tied knot in mass marriage
Raipur, March 22. Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, a mass girl marriage was conducted at Ambedkar Bhavan Arang under the joint auspices of the Women and Child Development Department Project Arang and Mandir Hasaud. Minister of Urban Administration, Development, and Labor, Dr. Shivkumar Dahariya was the chief guest. On this occasion, Dr. Dahariya blessed all the bride and groom and wished them a good married life.
While speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Dahariya stated that it is a source of pride for the people of the state that the Women and Child Development Department is running ‘Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana’ for the daughters of economically disadvantaged families under the supervision of our Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. Under this system, mass marriages of poor families’ daughters are conducted in a dignified manner in accordance with the norms and regulations. Eighty couples were married in a mass marriage of girls, and the amount of government assistance obtained was distributed.
