Rajuram planted 250 tissue culture teak (Sagon) plants in one acre: estimated income of Rs 24 to 26 lakhs in 12 years
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel had an extensive discussion with the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Vriksha Sampada Yojna and gave them detailed information about the scheme and congratulated them for joining the scheme
Raipur, 21 March . Chief Minister, Mr. Baghel had an extensive discussion with the beneficiaries of the Vriksha Sampada Yojna. Rajuram Usendi, a beneficiary hailing from the Tuegahan village of Kanker forest division said that 250 plants of tissue culture teak(Sagon) have been planted in his one acre land today under the scheme. Rajuram told that the Forest Department officials informed him that teak trees would be ready in 12 years and he could easily earn an income of Rs 24 to 26 lakh from the cultivation. Mr. Usendi informed that earlier he used to plant paddy on his 1 acre of land, in which 3 to 4 quintals of paddy were produced. Regarding irrigation, he told that there is a bore in his field,and soon he will also arrange for drip irrigation.
Mr. Abhishek Dubey of Balrampur Forest Division Radha Nagar told that he has planted 500 plants of tissue culture teak on 2 acres of land. Earlier he used to cultivate mustard crop. Mrs. Pramila Singh of Sakholi village of Surguja Forest Division informed that she has planted 320 sandalwood plants on her 2 acres of land.
Mr. Mangal Ram Rana of Mangalore village in Bijapur Forest Division informed that he has planted 1250 tissue culture teak saplings on 5 acres of vacant land. Similarly, Mohammad Hasim Khan of Amarodi village in Kawardha forest division said that he has planted 550 tissue culture teak plants on 2 acres and Mr. Sukhlal Dhurve of Bokkarkhar informed that he has planted 900 cloned Eucalyptus plants in one acre of his land. Mr. Jaleshwar Pali of Rajnavgaon informed that he has planted 500 tissue culture teak plants on 2 acres of land. Dr. Madhariya hailing from Sarona in Raipur Forest Division informed that he has planted 1250 tissue culture teak saplings in 7 acres of land. During the discussion with the Chief Minister, the beneficiaries described this scheme as a significant scheme from the point of view of income generation and environmental preservation.
