Raipur, 19 March . Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel virtually attended the program to celebrate Bhakt Mata Karma Jayanti and Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Samaroh (mass wedding ceremony) organized at village Datan in Balodabazar-Bhatapara. The marriage of 27 couples took place under the ‘Adarsh Samuhik Vivah’. On this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated the bride and groom for entering married life and wished them to have a happy life. Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu was present in the meeting through video conferencing from CM’s residence office. Addressing the program, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that many schemes for the youth are being run by the government, and everyone should take advantage of these schemes. This path is the path shown by Bhakt Mata Karma so that the society remains united, and healthy and there will be employment for them. The state government is committed to fulfill her objectives by following the path shown by her. He said that Bhakt Mata Karma was a great worshiper of Lord Krishna, and she traveled from Gwalior to Jagannathpuri. She was not allowed to enter the temple due to caste discrimination. Then she started worshiping Lord Krishna sitting outside the temple. The result of her rigorous penance was that Lord Krishna himself appeared before her and she offered Khichdi to Lord Krishna. From that day Khichdi is offered as Mahaprasad in Jagannathpuri and this tradition continues even today.

He further said that the state government has taken many public welfare decisions, one of them being to increase the amount provided to the couple under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana from Rs.15 thousand to Rs.25 thousand.  He also said that during the legislative assembly session, they decided to increase the amount up to Rs.50 thousand. Now people are turning towards mass marriages instead of expensive marriages. The state government is also consistently working in the field of health and education. The state government is working on strengthening the hospitals in every district and the ‘Mukhyamantri Haat Bazar Clinics are also organizing at various places.

For the first time, the state government has decided that land will be provided to every community at the rate of 10 percent and those communities which have land will also be given funds for the construction of buildings. He said that earlier also an amount of Rs 20 lakh and Rs 50 lakh has been announced for the construction of buildings at Datan and Kasdol respectively. Similarly, Vipra Samaj had decided to construct a building in the memory of former MP Dr. Karuna Shukla in the program that was held in Baloda Bazar. This building has now been completed. He said that in this way the government is making efforts to have a ‘Samajik Bhavan’ (community hall) for every community. For social activities, crores of rupees are being given for the construction of Community halls at the state, constituency, district, and block levels.

He further said that the state government is consistently making efforts for the economic empowerment of the people of the state. Keeping in mind the interests of the homeless brothers and sisters in the state, this time a provision of Rs.3200 crore has been made in the budget for the construction of buildings for the homeless people. From coming April 1, after surveying and identifying homeless people, houses will be sanctioned to the eligible beneficiaries in a systematic manner. Through the small-scale industries under the Rural Industrial Park, employment is being provided to youths. Industrial parks will also be set up in cities on the lines of rural industrial parks, which will provide employment to the youth.
