Applicants no longer have to make multiple rounds of transport offices

In a bid to ensure that people don’t stand in queues and wait for their turn or make multiple rounds of the transport offices, the “Tuhar Sarkar Tuhar Dwaar” facility is being implemented by the Transport Department covering doorstep delivery of various transport-related services.
Under the “Tuhar Sarkar Tuhar Dwaar” scheme, being operated as per directions of Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel and Transport Minister Mr.Mohammad Akbar, more than 17.39 lakh smart card-based registration certificates and driving licenses have been delivered to the doorstep of applicants since June 2021. This includes 12.23 lakh smart card-based registration certificates and 5.69 lakh driving licenses.
Continuous monitoring of the same is being done by Transport Minister Mr.Mohammad Akbar for the orderly operation of this scheme. Under this, 22 transport-related services are being provided to the people at their doorstep. Under this public-centric facility, people no longer need to make multiple rounds of the transport offices for getting their work done. This saves both money and time for the applicants.
Transport Department officials informed that a helpline number 75808-08030 has been issued by the department to make this service more accessible. The service is available from 10 am to 5.30 pm on all working days. Applicants can get all the information related to the dispatch of their driving license and registration certificate on this helpline number. Right now on average, 100 calls are being received per day seeking information related to the driving license and registration process, taxes, and fees.
