Raipur: Late Mr. Puneet Ram Sahu and Late Mr. Radheshyam Sharma were given a formal tribute in the Vidhansabha

Raipur, 02 March . In the Chhattisgarh Vidhansabha today, the former members of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Constituency, the Late Mr. Puneet Ram Sahu and the Late Mr. Radheshyam Sharma, were given a formal tribute. At the commencement of the proceedings of the House, Speaker of the Assembly, Dr. Charandas Mahant, while giving an introduction of the lives of the two departed Assembly members of undivided Madhya Pradesh, shed light on their personality and work.

The Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, while giving a tribute to Late Mr. Puneet Ram Sahu, said that the Late Mr. Sahu, who had an easy-temper and placid personality, was elected as the MLA of the Rajim Assembly in the year 1985 to 1990. Being quite popular in his field, he became the President of the Cooperative Society in 1970, had been the Panch-Sarpanch, and was the President of the Fingeshwar Janpad Panchayat. He was active till the last moment. His demise is an irreparable loss for Chhattisgarh.
While giving a tribute to the late Mr. Radheshyam Sharma, the Chief Minister said that he played a major role in social work while staying active in his public life. He was an MLA of the Bhatapara Assembly Constituency from 1993 to 1998. He was recognized as a leader of cooperatives. He worked as an Assembly Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly and worked for many committees.


He had the experience of working in many posts like the Chairman of NABARD, Vice President of Madhya Pradesh Kisan Congress, President of Raipur Zila Sahkari Bhoomi Vikas Bank, member of IFFCO and KRIBHCO, the elected representative of Indian National Co-operative Union. He used to express himself with boldness and raised topics related to the common man. He also attracted attention to the problems of the former MLAs.


While expressing his sympathy with the bereaved family members of both former leaders, the Chief Minister prayed for the peace of the departed souls. Leader of the Opposition Mr. Narayan Chandel and MLA Mr. Shivratan Sharma also gave a floral tribute to the departed. A brief silence was also observed in the Assembly House to pay tribute to the departed souls.
